Brothers and sisters in Christ,
Considering the rising incidence of COVID-19 community spread along with Governor Wolf’s and the CDC’s latest proclamation, as well as the strong recommendations of Lower Susquehanna Synod Bishop James Dunlop’s office and staff, St. Mark’s COVID-19 Task Force has made the difficult decision to transition to fully digital worship beginning immediately. This means there will be no in-person worship or other gatherings in our building now thru January 4, 2021 at which time the Task Force will meet to reconsider the situation and make a decision on future worship services and building use.
Worship will be recorded and posted on the church website, www.stmarksharrisburg.org, as well as our Facebook page and YouTube channel in addition to being sent directly to our email list. If you know of friends or family who do not have access to any of these methods, please try to find a safe way to share the services with them.
We continue to pray for the health and safety of our congregation, families, friends and all who are affected by the current pandemic. If you have any questions, concerns, or needs, please call the church at 717-652-6700.
Peace be with you,
Pr. Jim Person and the COVID-19 Task Force members
