The Finance Ministry meets at 7:00 PM on the second Monday or Tuesday of the month, September through January with additional meetings as needed.
Duties of the Finance Ministry
- Budget Administration
- Prepare a draft budget for each fiscal year
- Submit drafted budget to the Congregation Council for approval and/or revision
- Present the proposed budget at the annual Congregation Meeting prior to the beginning of the fiscal year for congregation approval
- Manage all financial affairs of the congregation to ensure that they are being conducted efficiently, which includes:
- Prompt payment of all financial obligations of the church
- Forwarding of benevolence monies to the synod treasurer
- Overseeing the congregation’s investments, and insurance program
- Providing for annual audits of the accounts of the:
- Treasurer
- Financial secretary
- Schools and organizations within the congregation
